On 13 February 2012, two journalists entered war-ravaged Syria. One of them was celebrated Sunday Times war correspondent, Marie Colvin. The other was photographer, Paul Conroy. Their aim was to cover the plight of Syrian civilians trapped in Homs, a city under siege and relentless military attack from the Syrian army. Only one of them returned. This is their story. Under The Wire received an international cinema release, and has been broadcast in over 50 countries worldwide. Amongst numerous other accolades, it was chosen to tour across Italy as one of Internazionale Magazine's best films of 2018. It has been screened in numerous countries as part of the United Nations campaign to end the impunity of violence towards journalists, and in November 2019, was screened at the UN HQ in New York by UNESCO as part of the same campaign.
